The Makita UR017GZ is designed for the demanding home user — a powerful tool for cutting dense undergrowth. It is equipped with a high-performance brushless motor that delivers 530 W. The maximum cutting diameter with the trimmer head is 330 mm, and a metal blade of up to 230 mm in diameter can be fitted if required. The guard works with both the trimmer head and the metal blade, and the protective skirt can be removed without any tools when changing accessories. The loop handle with a J-shaped grip ensures safe operation with a metal blade and an ergonomic hold in various working positions. The tool weighs approximately 5.3 kg with a 5 Ah battery. Three speed settings let you select the optimal performance, while the ADT mode automatically adjusts the speed across the entire range to help save battery power. The kit includes a double-shoulder harness that evenly distributes the weight of the tool and reduces operator fatigue. The brush cutter runs on the XGT battery platform. This battery is compatible with more than 260 Makita tools, meaning it can be used not only with garden equipment but also with impact drivers, rotary hammers, and other XGT tools.
