The tool is equipped with electronic two‑speed control with a no‑load speed of up to 7000 rpm, allowing you to select the optimal operating mode for any task. Thanks to compatibility with over 10 different attachments, the DUX18 transforms into a complete arsenal of gardening tools: it can function as a string trimmer, hedge trimmer, pole pruner, snow thrower, and other equipment. This battery type (18V LXT) is compatible with over 420 Makita tools from the LXT range, meaning it can be used not only with gardening equipment but also with impact drivers, rotary hammers, and other Makita tools. The tool features XPT technology (eXtreme Protection Technology – enhanced protection against dust and moisture) and AFT (Active Feedback Sensing Technology – automatically shuts off the tool in case of sudden deceleration or lock‑up).
