Tools under the MAKITA brand are officially supplied to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) by the manufacturer "Makita Corporation". All MAKITA products are carefully inspected and tested before leaving the factory. Even the highest quality equipment requires periodic maintenance and repair under intensive use. MAKITA provides a warranty on all products we officially supply to the EAEU countries. Under the warranty, we are responsible for eliminating identified defects in workmanship or materials used in the production of the product during the warranty period.
Warranty terms for the Republics: Kazakhstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan
  • A paper warranty certificate is required.
  • The warranty period begins on the date of purchase.
  • Warranty service is provided only in the country where the product was purchased.
Warranty terms for Georgia

As of March 2024, the warranty period is 2 years from the date of sale as stated on the warranty certificate.

Warranty terms for the Russian Federation
  • A paper warranty certificate is not required.
  • The warranty period begins on the date of the first service request at an authorized service center.
  • If the tool's nameplate (battery pack, charger, etc.) lacks a manufacturing date, the equipment will only be accepted for service with a proof of purchase (paper receipt, electronic receipt) / paper warranty certificate.
  • For tool sets (when purchasing two or more units under a single SKU), the equipment will only be accepted for service with a proof of purchase (paper receipt, electronic receipt, paper warranty certificate).
  • If a proof of purchase is not available, acceptance at an authorized service center will be based on the information on the nameplate. If a proof of purchase is not available, the warranty applies to products no more than 3 years old from the manufacturing date on the nameplate at the time of the first service request.
  • If a proof of purchase is provided, warranty repair applies to products older than 3 years from the manufacturing date on the nameplate at the time of the first service request, provided that no more than 1 year has passed since the date of sale at the time of the service request.
Warranty period

The warranty period for all MAKITA brand products is 1 year. The service life for MAKITA brand products is 5 years from the date of purchase. The service life is defined as the period during which MAKITA commits to providing users of MAKITA brand equipment with spare parts and service support. The warranty period is extended by the time the tool is undergoing warranty repair.

What should I do if a defect appears during the warranty period?

If you encounter a malfunction with your MAKITA tool, please contact your nearest MAKITA Authorized Service Center. The tool must be provided in a clean condition, with no signs of unauthorized disassembly. Please include your proof of purchase (for Russia) or warranty certificate (for Belarus and Kazakhstan) with the tool when requesting warranty service for the first time. For subsequent warranty service requests, only the tool itself is required. The proof of purchase must include the following information: full product model name, date of sale, and name of the retailer. The paper warranty certificate is issued and completed only by the seller at the time of sale. We ask that you retain the warranty certificate or proof of purchase document until the end of the warranty period or until the initial service request at a MAKITA service center.

The warranty does not cover the following cases
  • Failure by the user to follow the instructions in the owner's manual, or use of the tool for purposes other than those intended.
  • Mechanical damage to the housing (cracks, chips, dents, etc.); mechanical damage to the electrical cable insulation; damage (bending) of the chuck shaft or the accessory holder shaft on brushcutters/trimmers or lawnmowers.
  • Damage caused by exposure to corrosive environments or high temperatures, ingress of foreign objects into the tool through ventilation openings, blockage of air vents or engine cooling fins by processing debris or insects, or accumulation of foreign particles on the internal surfaces of water pump components.
  • Use of lubricants or fuels not matching the engine type or not recommended by the tool manufacturer, leading to piston or piston ring seizure, scoring, galling, or scratches on the cylinder or piston working surfaces; damage or melting of the cylinder/piston group bearings. Operation of gasoline-powered tools with a damaged, dirty, or missing air or fuel filter.
  • Rust on metal parts inside the tool housing due to improper storage or operation.
  • Malfunctions resulting from normal wear and tear or inadequate tool maintenance (for maintenance intervals under rated loads and brush life, refer to the owner's manual). Operating the tool with obvious signs of malfunction (loss of power, unusual noise, excessive vibration, burning smell); using the tool with cutting accessories that are visibly damaged or not suited for the tool type or power rating.
  • Attempts to repair the tool during the warranty period, evidenced by, for example, improper assembly of housing parts, missing internal components, marks on fastening screws (e.g., stripped screw heads, especially on the first service visit), or self-lubrication of tool parts except as specified in the owner's manual.
  • Malfunctions resulting from overloading the tool, leading to failure of electric motor, generator, or other components. Conclusive signs of overloading include: discoloration (oxidation) of metal surfaces; deformation or melting of plastic parts; simultaneous damage (darkening or charring) of wire insulation in stator or rotor windings; charring of both stator coil insulations due to motor overheating caused by incorrect power supply voltage (relative to tool specifications) or by excessive force applied to the tool handles.
  • Consumable accessories and their attachment components (saw blades, knives, drill bits, rotary hammers bits, router bits, sanding accessories, guide rails, chains, collets, drive sprockets, keyed/keyless chucks, accessory holder components for rotary hammers and demolition hammers, sanding pad backing plates, etc.).
  • Wear parts (carbon brushes, drive belts and wheels, seals, gaskets, oil seals, bumpers/dampers, blade guards, auxiliary handles, guide and support rollers, spark plugs, ratchet wheels, starter ropes, air and fuel filters, etc.), unless damage to the wear part is a direct result of a defect in another part or assembly quality.
