The Makita UV001GU201 cordless scarifier‑aerator is a professional tool designed for lawn care on areas up to 500 m². The model is powered by a high‑performance brushless motor with 1700 W equivalent output, has a working width of 38 cm, and offers 18‑position depth adjustment from –12 mm to +5 mm in 1 mm increments. The scarifier effectively removes moss, dry grass, thatch, and organic debris, collecting them in a 50‑litre fabric grass catcher. This not only cleans the surface but also thins out dense turf, ensuring that the roots get access to air, moisture, and nutrients. Scarifying with metal blades is recommended 1–2 times a year – in spring and autumn. For more frequent surface raking, an optional aerator attachment is available separately. The kit includes everything needed for immediate use: two BL4040F 4 Ah batteries and a DC40RB charger. The 4 Ah batteries charge to 100% in just 45 minutes, and the automatic switching system allows the two batteries to be used alternately – when one battery is depleted, the tool instantly switches to the other, significantly extending continuous runtime. This battery type is compatible with over 260 Makita tools from the XGT range, meaning it can be used not only with gardening equipment but also with impact drivers, rotary hammers, and other Makita tools. The tool features XPT technology for enhanced protection against dust and moisture, a foldable handle for compact storage, large 18 cm diameter wheels with ball bearings for excellent ground traction, and an electronic stability control system.
